Selectmen Present: Stan Howe, Don Bennett, Jack Cross, Robert Everett, and Dennis Doyon
Staff Present: Manager Doar, Deputy Clerk Hanscom, Treatment Plant Operator Gunderson,
Others Present: Terry Karkos
Robert Everett moved Jack Cross second to approve the minutes of the May 17, 2010 Selectmen’s meeting. All were in favor.
Dennis Doyon moved Robert Everett second to approve the Liquor License and Entertainment Permit for Mountain Highs LLC. All were in favor.
Dennis Doyon moved Robert Everett second to approve the Victualer licenses for Bethel’s Best, Big Apple- Mayville Rd. , Big Apple- Railroad St., Café’ DiCocoa, Casablanca Cinema, Chapman Inn , ChoSun, Circle K, Dunkin’ Donuts, Funky Red Barn, Gideon Hastings House, Holidae House, Homeslice Pizza, Hot Taco, Inn at The Rostay, Kowloon Village, Mallard Mart, Mountain Highs LLC, Pat’s Pizza, Rivendell House, Rooster’s Roadhouse, SS Milton, Smokin’ Good BBQ, Sunday River Brewing Co., Sunday River Station, The Traveling Gypsy, and Coverdale House. All were in favor.
Don Bennett moved, Robert Everett second to approve lodging licenses for Bethel Village Motel , Chapman Inn, Crocker Pond House, Holidae House, Inn at the Rostay , Paw’s Inn, Pleasant River Motel , Rivendell House, Riverview Resort, Gideon Hastings House, Coverdale House, and Bethel Hill B&B. All were in favor.
Robert Everett moved, Dennis Doyon second to approve Innkeepers Licenses for Bethel Inn, Norseman Inn, and Sudbury Inn. All were in favor.
The Town Meeting Warrant was executed.
Discussion took place involving AVCOG and who would represent the town. There are two positions open. Robert Everett moved, Don Bennett second to approve Manager Doar to represent the town. All were in favor.
Robert Everett moved, Don Bennett second to approve the 12 parking space proposal at Davis Park. All were in favor.
Robert Everett moved, Jack Cross second to execute the Grant agreement with PUC for the Waste Water Treatment Plant Energy Efficiency Project. All were in favor.
There was discussion on the Waste Water Treatment plant budget. Don Bennett moved to adopt the Waste Water Treatment plant budget as amended, Dennis Doyon second. All were in favor. The Town will advertise for a half time position.
Manager Doar noted the progress on the Mason Street Sidewalk.
The fishing derby will be held June 5th and the pond was stalked.
Robert Everett mentioned that it was important to go after every available grant for the Waste Water Treatment.
Robert Everett moved, Dennis Doyon second to approve and sign warrants # 2010 – 47and 48. All were in favor.
Dennis Doyon moved, Robert Everett second to adjourn the meeting. All were in favor.
The Meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.
