FULL DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT MATTER ON TAPE
Selectmen Present: Stan Howe, Dennis Doyon, Don Bennett, Jack Cross, and Robert Everett
Staff Present: Manager Doar, Deputy Clerk Hanscom, and Public Works Director Sumner

Don Bennett moved Dennis Doyon second to approve the minutes of April 12, 2010 and April 14, 2010. Discussion took place. Don Bennett amended the motion to remove the Fire Fighter on- Call wages 25.0% on the April 14, 2010 minutes because that was not a raise increase Dennis Doyon seconded the amended motion. All were in favor of the amendment. All were in favor of the motion once amended.
Dennis Doyon moved Don Bennett second to approve the request from the UAAA for the Town of Bethel to pick up trash at Newt’s Landing and deliver it to the transfer station on May 19, 2010 for River Clean up day. All were in favor of the motion.
The board discussed with Manager Doar the proposed amendments to the Entertainment, Sewer and Water Use, Traffic, Parking and Pedestrians, Signs, Site Plan Review, and Subdivision of Land Ordinances. A Public Hearing was scheduled for May 26, 2010 in conjunction with the Referendum Question.
Dennis Doyon moved, Jack Cross second to include an article on the warrant regarding Oxford County Regional Solid Waste Corporation. All were in favor.
Dennis Doyon moved, Don Bennett second to approve the tentative warrant for the town report. All were in favor.
Donald Bennett moved, Dennis Doyon second to go with the full $600,000 agreement for the Rural Road initiative for the Sunday River Rd. Discussion followed. All were in favor.
The board was updated on the traffic control plan and the status of Mason St. Sidewalk.
Discussion took place on nominations for the MMA Legislative Policy Committee.
Discussion took place on the census. The selectmen wanted to make sure that the town would be accurately counted.
The board discussed the water problem in West Bethel and the flushing of water lines.
Robert Everett moved, Don Bennett second to approve and sign warrants #2010-41, 42, 43, and 44. All were in favor.
Robert Everett moved, Dennis Doyon second to adjourn the meeting. All were in favor. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
