FULL DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT MATTER ON TAPE
Selectmen Present: Stan Howe, Dennis Doyon, Don Bennett, Jack Cross, and Robert Everett
Staff Present: Manager Doar, Clerk Mason, Finance Officer Monk, Deputy Town Clerk Hanscom, Deputy Finance Officer Aguilar, Equipment Operators Walker, Wheeler, and McLean.
Others Present: None
Clerk Mason informed the board of a typing error in the minutes from February 16, and February 19, 2010. Don Bennett moved, Dennis Doyon second to approve the minutes as amended. All were in favor.
The board reviewed the proposed FY2011 Wage and Benefit Plan. The board agreed that they needed to work up what the make up of the Police Department would look like should the Town vote to maintain their own department. It was agreed that it would be a department of six consisting of a Chief, Lieutenant, and four patrol officers. All positions would receive a competitive wage, consistent with the surrounding towns. The board discussed Heath Insurance benefits and agreed that Manager Doar would do some research on different options that are available. The board then discussed wage increases for full time employees. Don Bennett moved, Dennis Doyon second to approve a 1.5% increase for all full time employees with the exception of the two Department Heads in the front office, and the two Deputies in the front office. The
front office staff would receive the proposed increases as presented by Manager Doar. All were in favor.
Don Bennett moved, Dennis Doyon second to move into executive session pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. § 405 (6) (A) for a personnel matter with the Town Manager. All were in favor.
The board moved into executive session at 8:20PM.
Robert Everett moved, Don Bennett second to exit executive session. All were in favor.
The board moved out of executive session at 8:55PM, and adjourned.
